The character having the Advantage will swing all to positive. I always pictured bad luck and repetition causing the inevitable as the goal of the tables. If the odds of losing are always greater, the monsters win.

The tables are also set up the way they are so that the Ref can flair some battles and say all cards are Cups or all Banes are Swords. That sort of thing. I hint in the rules that an easy way to make a mob climax battle is take one from column A, another from Column B and add a couple flair elements from the Big Mob Bane.

Rod + Bane Coin w/ Knight & Ace from Bane Horrible. There ten second unique monster. Some combos will be found to be truly horrible. I never look before I leap (so to speak); I'd rather let capture be less monstrous if the party wipes.
