I'm not a discord fan ....
Message:It's got nice features but something seems off to me.
I know the cool kids use it and I have done so. But, it's always ... half what I need.
Epic table isn't going down that path. He's working on lighting features. (Something I don't care about.)
The next bump of the Cardo-Flipper allows the user to use the deck with the chat window closed. And, the cards can be pulled off the top off the deck. So, multiple cards on your desktop.
It becomes a common deck you can use on top of discord or whatever. (Linking to a browser is possible too.)
Being able to display the Q&D result at the card flip is a great feature and it works. But, to make it work, it has to talk to the server (or you download all the Q&D tables like the original Cutlass tool).
Interestingly, I was laboring under the false impression that Epic Table did not have a server in between the users. I assumed there was some piece of the puzzle I was missing. Being able to communicate server-less is a really nice feature. But, Epic Table has a server in the middle because that's the best way to do it.
Having a server isn't the end of the world ... but ... it means you are at the mercy of things getting turned off.
Computers are asshoe.
Yours,
IronConrad
