Message:Dragon Dice is an interesting tale indeed.
I like the idea ... Dice are Armies (Units) and different size and color can do different things.
They apparently solved the manufacturing challenges.
The dice are quite handsome.
They bounded the game with reasonable limits.
The notion that they have three battle groups (Home, Campaign, and Frontier) is interesting.
Include magic in the game ... check check.
All reasonable choices.
But, it just ain't fun. No offense my Dragon Dice brudahs but ... yea ... just missed the mark.
The game is too swingy and the dice are not clear enough for the layman to understand. (And, the fans are very defensive of their game. Cheers to them.)
Lots of things done right ... a few things done wrong.
Now, the TSR fiasco is another matter. It could have just as easily been D&D Pixie Sticks that caused the fall ... it was going to happen ... the only question was when.
Yours,
