I feel like I've been called out ....
Message:Trinity was amazing as a kid to me simply because it was ... unexpectedly different.
Sure we had watched Westerns. Who didn't play Cowboys and Injuns. That was a different time. We didn't have to sob for how the Cowboys couldn't express their homosexual desires and the Injuns weren't forced to watch bad football. We just got sticks and ran around like porch monkeys. (I believe the term has been brought back.)
No, I mean ... we were on the porch and we were running around like monkeys. What are you? A racist or somethin'?
Then, this movie came along and it was like nothing we had witnessed. Dudes making fun of the villain Everything wasn't so serious. We could put down our sticks and ... well ... get bottles and throw them at each other. Damn that was a fun game too.
Somebody would lose an eye but get a great nick name ... it was all good.
You haven't lived until you've seen a kid take a bicycle cross bar in the groin ... the sound a human can make it's amazing.
Rub some dirt on it kid. Walk it off.
Back to the porch.
Yours,
IronConrad
