Message:The group returned to face the Jenolan Owl God, Hibou-Chouette. We were routed by bad dice, party slain to a man and recovered only by Conrad’s Rulez that death is a side quest. After consulting the gods and risking Empathy we returned. Our dice returned enough to cage the monster (Inga’s magic) and slay the ever growing threat of the Jenolan.
After that we deciphered the puzzle of the magnet to unlock the vault of Chrysis.
(Fred collect your Ignobles for Jenolan fight and your share of treasure.)
We never did find Pip. He was in the Jenolan kitchen. Maybe best his father never knows. The Lighthouse battery can be returned, and we started the next quest toward the Ziggurat. Penelope leads the way to find her husband. We seek to find the dragon Uncle Sam and collect the treasure of Chrysis.
A dragon flew overhead, and we tried to help. But realized we could do little but suffer Harm.
Dagon, the growing demon of the items we collect, continued to taunt us with aphorisms:
The journey of a thousand miles begins with
the first step.
There are two theories to arguing with women
neither work.
There is a point when you stop lying about your age and start
bragging about it.
Cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough
to eat six.
We ended the day defeating Bruja, the Reaper, a Day Walker from the Undead Realms. Immunity Great Undead. The battle was rushed; there was more threat than we resolved. More later.
Never doubt your ability to do great things or fail trying.
Play continues next week.
Yours,
IronRed
