Mike should like the fact that a chicken has a D6 attack. That may not be D&D damage, but now whenever he says that a housecat is a deadly weapon, I can counter w/ an Akkadian fighting fowl.

Yes, the mechanics are silly. Some heroquest element of rolling sixes and blocking the same. Near as I can tell. Easy for beginners, but limited (very) in scope. Just not my desire for an adventure.

The advancement is by adding verses to your own epic poem. That's not without merit. Judging these, though, I haven't read that text.
