Message:10ft of VGA cable is worth 5ft of HDMI cable, 8 ft of XLR or DMX cable, 15ft of RCA cable (13ft of any cable with 1/8" or 1/4" jacks) and 25ft of type F coax. SDI cable is often mistaken for type F, but SDI is 1.25x the value of Typle F. CAT 5 and 6 are devalued as the connectors are too similar (like Type F vs SDI, but with worthless plastic). 10ft of VGA is worth 100ft of 8 or 16 gauge speaker wire (the bare end stuff). USB cable is 1/4 the value of VGA. SCSI and parallel cables are 1/2 the value of VGA.
The real money is in 25 or 50 pin plex cable, which is worth 50x the HDMI cable.
No-one deals in Neutrex or Speakon cable. The connectors are removed and it's treated as damaged XLR.
SIO cable sends most bankers into a tizzy.
Anyway you splice it, it's still all copper.
