Message:Thanks for heads up on Gloom.
I keep looking for a coöp or multiplayer PC game online. There is a bunch with content that isn't good, isn't playable. Yet millions of followers.
The kind of online games I thought would be great are no longer made. What was wrong with Grand Imperialism? Or else the content online is for two or at best three.
The cost starts to rise both in $30 here and $40 there to give each a try, yet also the cost of the time sink is insurmountable. I looked at Valheim, which was lauded. I played it and said to myself, do I want to spend four hours waiting for Boars to spawn so I can make shield.
RTS as well just does not seem like a good use of my time, sorry.
There is a guy online who plays single player games, ones having multiple toons, and divies the choices out to a group. What does your guy do in Darkest Dungeon? Seems cumbersome, but at least the solo games tend to be better written and have play better. Adding multiplayer may be too much complication for designers and kills the shelf life as everything changes so quickly on the net protocols.
Problem w/ WoW is that it's been done to death. Diablo looks and feels old. The best features of solo play were dropped in the switch to multiplayer.
Yours,
