Message:Not a slurry so not my expertise.
Yet seems more expensive to rotate the housing as opposed to the bit. Keeping the thing from boring also seems a concern both with screw and housing. You will have more plastic or metal filings in your mix when either method has contact on base. A suspended screw with forced blowing of material into the housing (or gravity flow of a slurry) may reduce maintenance downtime.
Whenever I see food processing machines I am amazed at the tolerances. Folks that design and maintain our mass produced food are unsung heroes. Beans cooked in the can of packaging? Perfectly filled and baked PopTart, unbroken wrapped in light foil and boxed in threes?
Hats off to these lads.
Only things that messes things up is Windows based control software added later by programmers -- those lads will be the death of us all. Keep the world (in some places) Analog machine code.
Machine code even achieved space flight.
