Leaving Kappa Bumbleshoot, the former movie backlot, we brought aboard a VIP, Mister Wonderful J.W.Walker. Along with his move into Command, he supervised the transfer of the Television archives to our local matrix. We eventually would sell the windfall and purchase housing and support for a small Taint community that was squatting aboard. As if to prove our resolve to help the community, we even removed that SNAFU from No Man’s Land, bringing the punishment lingering there to a mere three.
DefMod was high this session. Everything roll was tat much harder. Combined with early low dice, our success was hard won. We still haven’t cleared the ship of SNAFU—two remain in Command, a Practical Joker and that reoccurring Comm Check—but we are almost ready to Jump and Die onto nu Lumpy. Did I forget to mention it became our next op?
No clue on who caused the rebellion there. Here’s what we do know:
Nu Lumpy
The station was once a university of advanced study of engineering, science and cosmology. The very origins of matter were modeled and recreated in labs. The place transformed from that knowledge into a cult of expansive monasteries with holier than thou men who seem to have real connections with elder pagan gods. All manner of dogma is peddled and seems to be debated endlessly and the doctrines altered hourly. Low Immune Density; Low Resistance (-0 DefMod).
That’s the last of the no DefMod systems. After this one, we have ship SNAFU DefMod and the next system’s resistance to deal with.
In business news, we lost the Skimerian proxy to mixed reaction. Some checked growth of good riddance. Some vowed to return our squad (rated 82) to favor. We sold the TV archive w/ Ignobles by all. Suffered one vicious as Durable and avoided a few more.
Next week finish Autoplay; those two last SNAFU, unless we concentrate on No Man’s Land. Then the endgame climax on Nu Lumpy. Who is to blame? The answer is always low dice.
Yours,
IronRed
