Disney still makes money from theme parks and cruise lines. They own all the IP, so it seems. Saw somewhere that the company must make X movies of each IP in a set period of time to retain exclusive rights. Disney does not care if every movie is good; they just need to meet a quota. There must be hope in the film division that the next generation finds their own Star Wars or MCU.

Personally, I never understood the cult of Disney. As a kid I was Warner Bros. fan and my theme park tastes were roller coaster not spectacular, 70-millimeter, 3D space adventure motion capture rides, like Captain EO. As an adult, Disney took my comic book theme slots away and won't sell me a rum drink in Pyrate Land. All too twee for me.
