I did email you...
Message:... Conrad, and Tony.
Yeah, I'd have expected any nerd events in Ireland to be in Dublin (other side of the island), but, to our surprise there's a small convention 5 minutes away the weekend of Feb 25th.
Probably not that big. For the RPG crowd I know 35 different systems are in play, but I'm not certain if it's 55 GMs or 55 sessions.
Sat/Sun, 9a-9p. Got the RPG sessions, a bunch of board/card game sessions, a small dealer's room, some panels.
I'm running three sessions of Cutlass. Conrad sent me the paperwork he's been using for cons, which is helpful. I've got three mission outlines. Figure I'll run all three. If a player decides to join for multiple sessions, they can advance their character. Otherwise, we'll flip some cards and have some fun.
But I bought a crapton of cheap dice. And a pirate themed Tarot deck, which is apparently printed from photos of an earlier, "premium" deck which was laser-burned on actual wood. Kind of a fun deck! I'll have to make a chart of the Majors so I remember what "The Plank" or "The Chiurgeon" replace. Otherwise the deck has Cabin Boys instead of Knaves, as well as Lady Captains and Captains for King and Queen, with the suits being Mugs, Doubloons, Cutlasses and Pistols.
Ireland is a country with its own pirate history. So, yeah, fun-fun.
Just need to pick my online map generator of choice to create my "Europe."
Yours,
IronMike
