Message:I'm looking to move the kids and their friends off of D&D to a Better game. I run a hodgepodge of original D&D and bits from its clones, so they're used to something teetering close to free style.
I have Conrad's Fantasy Next Millennium and it's got soom cool concepts. It is a big shift conceptually even from other Better games - and may be too big a push into the deep end of the pool.
I am super comfortable with Crimson Cutlass - traits, tarot card flips for combat and encounters, swagger, etc. I wish all games played like it.
Seems like Outlands hews closer to Cutlass. If that's true, it could be the better way for me.
So, if I love Cutlass and don't want to veer too far from it, will Outlands be the best fit?
Yours,
