Feeling Slightly Vindicated

Have a friend who wants to play White Box again. So I found this as I was crawling about.

The campaign referee will have to have sufficient time to meet the demands of his players, he will have to devote a number of hours to laying out the maps of his "dungeons" and upper terrain before the affair begins.

That quote is from Men and Magic, Book One of White Box.

The term is REFEREE. "Master" does not appear anywhere in the entire text. The game kind of went to hell when everyone thought they were a DM. Was the first step of conflating sexual roleplay with adventure gaming role-play.
