"Dungeon Master" goes back to the 70's. I'm sure TSR was looking for a word to sell. The game nerds who eventually wanted to know a woman and underwear not jerked to the sky knew that word wa poison.

Some came up with ther term "Game Master" but that was no better.

No doubt TSR of the 70's, 80's, and 90's put their attornories on those who might use that term.

It's all just rolling dice man.
