Message:We all were limping toward Rivendell, there hoping to find succor among our relatives in Elron’s folk, when someone had a great idea. Why not go to Weathertop, get some loot, then got to the Sanctuary? All agreed. Really!?!
We fought Doomed Souls and found that Elf Pax could turn them, though he still thinks the rules says he can
Turn eleven of them not roll 2d6 for seven to turn one.
We also discovered the first Maiar Altar and gained a number of spells. Even Elf Jake gained Polymorph Others and Cure Serious, by sacrificing all his Hirelings to gain extra rolls. We later found Elf Jake was holding the Ring of Corruption. Explains much. He says his lads just wanted a chance to prove fealty. I saw him remove several hearts and crush the lifeforce on the altar. Perspective?
After we left, someone said. Hey, we are in relatively good shape. Why not go to Bewitched Lands? Wait, should we maybe use Elf Pax two Heal spells first? (Remind me to let those be cast next week.)
We ended the day fighting Ice Trolls. Elf Dave was turned to Stone (momentarily) and lost a DEX point. Miss a save in D&D, and you feel it.
The Ring of Corruption passed from Bojangles to Elf Jake. The rage of relic is at 10%. Campaign Clue: What every crooked dealer and charlatan is known for.
We solved two Puzzles:
First: How many ways can you fairly exchange coins for a Dime?
Ans: four (dime, 2 Nickels, Nickel & five cents, ten cents)
Second: SUBSTITUTE Palindrome Riddles w/ four Clues. abcd dcba: sinful, maintain, calamity, experience (evil ↔ live)
More next week.
Yours,
IronRed
