Think the Spades-style card game requires people who do like cards. Terraform dice game might have greater appeal (to sci-fi fans). A fantasy version of the Terraform, where players are rival delver groups winning control of underworld might have more genre players. Same game, diff skin. But showing up with handwritten rulez would not appeal to anyone under age of sixty (likely).

Any wargamers in the bunch? Time to play a chit game can be high. Any figure pushers? Probably not. Plus set-up / clean-up is extreme.

Keep fighting the good fight. Maybe King Oil? or Landslide!
