Message:I recall a game with dark knights and good knights and Merlin. I like this a bit more, since the village gets a full vote. I dislike this more, because players will get eliminated and then what? Sit out?
There needs to be a way of finding out who everyone is. Once a person is exposed, as say the Naysayer or Opportunist, he continues as a generic Spoiler. Could even have a way of making deal-deal to not expose me and I won't you.
Knowing how much I like base two...
* Ten roles (name whatever by genre). Five Powers, A-B-C-D-E.
* Roles kept secret. Winner is one who keeps his secret the longest.
* Each role has three simple powers; each one shared with five others. e.g., A-B-C role and A-D-E role. Some will share two powers. e.g., A-B-C role with A-B-D and A-B-E roles.
* Phase I: Around the table, use one power. You may not use the power the previous guy used.
* Phase II: Next around table, call out any other player still secret. e.g., You are the Bounty Hunter, or you are the Alien Imposter. Correct and person is exposed. He still may use his powers and expose others, but he cannot win.
* Power A: Declare a person, not yourself, does not have to use any power and further may not use any power until his turn is reached and passed. Since the power use aids revealing the Secret Role, being able to not use your power is an advantage-gift. This power is only usable once per player in game. And if someone else stops a person that counts as the one time in the game.
* Power B: Declare a person, not yourself, may not get to Call someone out on his turn in Phase II. This power is only usable once per player in game. And if someone else stops a person that counts as one time in the game.
* Power C: Declare a person, not yourself, may not be exposed this turn. This power is only usable once per player in game. And if someone else stops a person that counts as one time in the game.
* Power D: Declare someone else immune from actions A-B until his turn occurs. This power is only usable once per player in game. And if someone else protects a person that counts as one time in the game.
* Power E: Cancel an A-B-C-D action against yourself. Use as often as you wish. However, it does not count as an action you use on your own turn on Phase I.
Special Case: In rare cases, your turn will arrive and you must use a power. However, you have no power to use by circumstances. Because you have Power E, a duplicate of last player's action and a power that has been exhausted for all other players. If those conditions are valid, you must reveal your role (and lose).
