Message:We won. Well, almost. Two of us died, technically, but with triage made it (dragged) to Dr. Mossip’s Jump capable vessel. IronSnake making the final pilot roll to send us out of Altair Seven and into our life as merchant privateers.
Good job by all. We started the session thinking that the decade long run of bad luck for IronPax had ended. He made three of his first four rolls and seemed to have renewed faith in his ability to roll at least statistically average. Nope, he missed more than he made in the two hours to follow.
We finished the search and destroy in the robotic mining center of Altair J. All three doors delivered, we headed back to Altair M1, knowing it had the only vessel that was jump capable.
At the Mercury styled planet, we had to reach the director for his Ship Access codes. Everyone was psionic and causing us remote damage. We also faced two Power Armor troopers sent by the Imperium to shut the place down. As said, two of the party died (slowly), though we had one stat with points by the end and could be dragged out. Our flashing light and motorized wheelchair will allow us to answer the question – “Do you want more pancakes, BEEEEP.”
Great rolls by IronDave and ironGreg. IronConrad showed he could teleport and throat-slit eggheads. We also slowly ran a man over with a forklift to get him to tell us where we needed to go. In truth, we could have explored the whole complex; we almost did anyway.
All's well in Frat-boy rpg, or is it Fart-boy rpg? I had fun. Remind me in the chat if you want a zip file of all my notes on Traveller. It will be cryptic, but a good start if you want to run classic traveler. Cross fingers it won’t be the last time I do so.
Wait, wait, wait...No one used the J Winifred Walker soak-off. Our party is slipping, forgetting that.
Next week, Allan Quatermain's Consanguine, an Indiana Jones style adventure game of exploration of the mighty rivers of the Victorian Era. Yeah. Will test the new mechanic of dying means you come back as an assistant that is slightly better.
Yours,
IronRed
