Message:We reached the Pagoda, after six more encounters. One person died facing elephants – he’s on his third and final character before restart new. Admittedly I cheated him by not healing a wound that was supposed to heal.
The climax began with machinegun fire. We have yet to identify the source. We failed one roll of six and that was enough to lose our dynamite. It was fated. We examined a whale filled with tentacles; that was eerie. IronDave did the right thing by exploring the anus with a lit torch, which had the gases inside explode.
A group of fifty lancers in tattered blue coats were found impaled. Marcus (our rival for loot) will not be pleased.
IronConrad thought he saw siren seductress but was restrained. IronPax was scalded by geysers twice. The group has yet to find a way to pass the sleeping monkeys or the pressure darts. We did run through a herd of rampaging elephants, so count that win.
The whole hinges on finding and solving five puzzle locks. These control the mystic water of five spigots, located in the Main pagoda at the temple complex center. We’ve located two. The group solved the first one with Genius, deducing that a louver needs to shine light on a photosensitive calendar and the second with an Agility intensive Dance step.
More to discover.
The changes I made to Events helped me run things smoother. There was still risk and injury, but less dead air between.
More next week on Irrawaddy.
Yours,
IronRed
