I was bumping against the 11/12 range on a number of stats ... so "improvement" hurts my dude statistically.
The before / after mechanism is interesting.
It might be more obvious if you drop it to say 12 events to test.
I may not fully "grok" it but it seems since the number of wounds one can take for the span of their characters, taking wounds early seems to be problematic.
The wounds are just a bad roll of sorts. Roll 1-5/6 is about 1-10/12 ... (of course it's exactly the same).
The difference is Iron Snake has exhausted his three "best" lives and is now playing the Porter or Third Camera man.
