Message:
My gamer buddy pinged for a ride and off we went to the Saturday game event.
The calendar was screwed up on the gamer website and the library double booked the room.
It happens.
Sure, sure ... intense focus on esoteric rules down to the sub-neutrino level but no one can arrange a calendar appointment for a date known 18 years in advance.
Adapt, Improvise, Overcome ... well ... we'll just use the 3D printer lab in the library. (It seems that's a big thing at libraries ... a lab of aging three D printers that no one uses.)
About 7 people showed early. One group formed up on a scribble and scribble party game. We held out with "The Gang" to pick up players as they wandered it.
We eventually got to 6 players.
The Gang is cooperative Poker of sorts and currently in vogue. It is wicked clever at times.
Four of the six at the table owned a copy and no doubt two more copies would be purchased after the event.
An experienced Poker player joined. He was a delight to watch his mind chew through the options.
After a dozen hands, you would think the team would sync but we failed as a "Gang" at least a third of the time. Pretty sure we had a traitor in our midst.
After 4 hours of it, my brain was fried. Crime doesn't pay.
Yours,
IronConrad
