Message:The previous mission ended uneventfully and successfully. Inquisitionist Fredrico became our Ally; he is the holder of the Surgical Dagger of St Paul. IronRed gained the Trait Dashing and a Sea asset (Gally Swan). IronDave also gained a Sea (Gally Sea Dagger), while IronConrad collected the Riches (up for grabs).
IronMorrison became the focus of the third scenario of Classic Flip-Card Cutlass as pirates of the Mediterranean Sea.
Alfonce, patron, Moneylender
Maurice, rival, Jewish Convert
Much of the negative aspects were mitigated during Mission Generation. IronSnake stands to gain a Trait in victory.
Horse Guardsman Ricard (from mission one) wanted to blame us for the previous attack on the Italian Maurice (rival of scenario one). He recruited his ally, Alfonce, to send us on a similar mission. But the goal was to blame the players for all. Ricard backed-out of this plot, leaving Alfonce to continue on his own reprisal against Maurice, ironmonger. We were obligated to travel incognito, avoiding any discovery of our plans.
We recruited and raised IronSnake’s Jolly’s Umlauts to a force of seventy-seven. Our cover story was a pilgrimage to the Vatican.
We were challenged by the Duke of Savoy but our Warden, IronDave placated his fellow noble. We set to sea, fought a fight and got lost. We returned to land (World card). Down the road we raided a garrison after refusing a request to give them seven conscripts (to help in a flood). In the subsequent battle, we lost sixty-four Servitors. They lost more, and we all checked Ignobles.
We ended up w/ 13 Jolly’s Umlauts, two leaking Gally and some treasure. We need a strong company to fight the Endgame. Right now, we don’t have that.
We went to Phase B then back to A. That’s where we continue.
More next week.
Yours,
IronRed
