We continued Adventure Four in the climax, first w/ Strategy and Traverse Decks to rescue the captive. Later with Secondary Event that resulted in us truly escaping. But we decided to release the captive Alfonse, much to the ire of our patron Ricard.
Our next mission has IronDave as the principal. He met all the four Influence and Resource (I&R) requirements at the start but the group later added resources along our encounters in the Port of Marseilles. We added Riches (pillaging a warehouse of the Ironmonger, Maurice), Power (local lords backed their creditor, our Paron) and Goodwill (from Church and a previous patron, Fredrico). Riches and Power can be won. Goodwill can be gained by IronPax. IronDave will lose social standing if he fails.
IronPax was disowned by his family on our journey. But he did survive an eight roll Digression excursion.
IronRed made quite a few rolls, but he mocked statistics and left IronDave’s ship only slightly improved from our final capture of a KNIGHT encounter’s galley. I opted to have five players roll for fourteen, looking for three successes. Rather than have five players attempt twelve’s with max benefit of two success. We made two twelve+ but only on 14+. Not a total bust.
Levels are slowly being gained and make-rolls did get used and not. IronDave added the Fencer skill as Growth but now he favors the blade. Don't we all? Not really!
We ended at Phase C, one Knight away from entering the climax and reaching Sardinia w/ Alfonse.
