Artemis II ascends the Heavens ... maybe 1 April or 2 April ....
Message:
Lots of things to attend to in the last few hours so likely going to be delayed.
But, they are almost ready to launch.
I would say NASA has done a poor job of marketing the launch. There's some big noise about going "farther" than any human has ever gone.
The mission is to circle the moon which is a building step to LANDING on the moon (again). Why the deliberate misdirection? To be honest, the mission could be unmanned as there won't be a big need for steering to miss the actual moon.
While "landing on the moon" was done in the late 60's with popsicle sticks and wads of gum, the modern NASA has super computers and amazing metals, insulation, and ablators, it's still a hard task. Even with the power of "Power Point" and Auto-CAD.
Shit still happens.
The Team has the perfect DEI composition of course. That's something NASA excels at achieving. It includes 1 Canadian for reasons.
It could only be more diverse of course by including a Inuit Indigenous gender neutral something but they only had 4 spots of diversonauts to fly. Mission Impossible got it done but this is real life.
Technology: Amazing. Tough task and I while I mock. I mock with love. Let's get everyone home safely.
God Speed John Glenn. God Speed.
Yours,
