Dominion Card Game ... It was really solid

At game day, a new fellow showed up with Dominion to play. He had a game group but they were timid of this game. They were up to Catan and no more.

I played Dominion long ago with a fellow that had many many of the expansions.

it was a solid game then of course.

But, I have to say, I even liked the base game more. Perhaps it is my old man feeble mind but it was very balanced in the mechanisms.

There's like 25 small decks of cards (just a guestimate) and you choose at random 10 of them.

The synergies just come.

There seems to be only one way to win by thinning your deck and running it like an engine.

I could not dispose of a card as they were all special to me. Even the junk. I got whupped pretty good. But, for one brief moment, they feared my deck as I was accumulating points very rapidly. They beat me down but it was closer than expected.

Fun game. Plays best at 3.
