Cutlass plays best at level 5 in my opinion ....

Level 1 ... don't get hit.
Levels 2-3 ... get skills ... take risks.
Level 4 ... get to level 5 (and double rolls ... now gone). Get your first ship or company.
Level 5 .... the def mod not so bad and with double rolls, one can survive big problems.
Level 6 ... sort of like being a sophomore ... sure you can pick on the little guys but you can't be on the varsity team.
Level 7 .... Every die roll is potential death. Or, so it seems. Worst, for you to level, the def mod needs to be set so high, that others risk death being around you.
Level 8 ... You've become Tom Bombadil. Immortal. Unstoppable but no purpose. Why don't you have a purpose?
The mission generation doesn't lend itself to Swashbucklers much less a team of Swashbucklers. But, does it make sense for a group of level 20 dudes going back into the Dungeon?
