Nicholas Meyer (wiki) wrote some great scripts like Star Trek II, IV and VI. "Hornblower in Space theme," cool. Why the hell did they not pay him for 3 & 5? Why didn't they realign the ship disk, catch some Tachyon part. and let him beam back a dozen years to write all the scripts including the first movie (under-rated but dull).
