Message:I downloaded it to discover it was only 3 pages. The preview was three pages. So, you didn't need to download to review it.
There were 4 or 5 small hand-outs that cover various things like equipment list.
6 stats ... Strength, Intelligence ... blah blah blah. The author changed one or two to something else but whatever.
Brown font on white paper ... rough for the old man eyes. (Not terrible since they used a dark brown.)
The intro is evocative ... no complaint with that.
The one thing that would seem unique was the character creates a poem describing their progress.
This is a recent trend in the RPG games.
Check out The 1,000 year old Vampire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COJcWFf0H3U
(Solo RPG. Because the Vampire lives so long, (s)he can only remember what is in its diary and the number of memories are limited.)
Good Stuff: Short, Sweet. Interesting Ideas. Cheap / Free (I guess)
Bad Stuff: Short. Brown Font = bad. Not much there. You could do more with some of the two page games out there. Nothing for the Ref (as usual).
There's other simple games that could have been used to give the Ref some simple:
"Tonight we slay a dragon, or die in the attempt":

I like the idea of a one and done but this one seems incomplete. We would have pulled it out on a hot Summer night and had fun with it. The dice would have created a story.
