True...
Message:It's an issue with many modern shows where I don't "like" most of the characters. Reboot BSG, The 100, The Boys... So many examples.
I enjoyed the first two seasons of Expanse, but Laura and I did crack a lot of jokes about Larry Niven's royalties. The hair, patios and general organization of - not to mention the NAME "Belter" - is Niven Known Space. I'd have been happy to stick with Solar System politics. Alas, the more alien stuff introduced, the sillier the show gets. At least I like former gunnery Sgt. Bobbie Draper.
Also, one of my former VFX protégés is doing VFX work on "Expanse."Mostly screen replacements for their tablets. Whatever. Zack is a talented young man and I'm glad he's working.
As much as I love Doctor Who, never underestimate Babylon 5.I agree with the Library of Congress, MIT and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, all of which list only three seminal American SF series - the original Twilight Zone, original Star Trek, and Babylon 5.
The original Trek is, of course, the ORIGINAL "SJW" show. Black, female officer, Japanese officer, Russian officer and Frank Gorshin painted black and white. Yup... It's globalist, too.
Yours,
IronMike
