My mind is a steel trap, with rusting hinges..
Message:I'll look to see if I took any screen captures, but I don't specifically remember if I did.
The Alpha Complex with the drone was roughly WNW of Beta. The Gamma complex (where I retrieved more cryonauts) was roughly NNE, right by the Amish. The mutant market was SSE, the cannibals were NW. There was a "something" at Hoover Dam, but I hadn't gotten there yet, and there was a modulated signal coming from downtown LV.
Other hazards had been scattered around. Never did figure out who trashed the base.
If you don't completely change around the environment and hazards, well... Finding Amish early is a good idea.
Otherwise, I haven't been racking my brain too much. If you reboot the scenario I actually don't want to remember toi much to avoid the "I know things my character doesn't I must ignore" play.
Side note: long, long ago - like I was maybe 12-13 years of age - I started to run good old red-book D&D module B2 (Keep on the Borderlands) for a group of first timers. The only experienced player, when first entering the keep, immediately attacked the Priest. "Why did you do that?" I asked. "I've played this before and know he's the main bad guy," PC says. "OK," I responded, "but you didn't gather the evidence to prove it. All the Duke knows is that five strangers walked in and attacked his advisor. Roll for initiative." There are 25 men-at-arms in the room. 10 have crossbows. Anyone want to surrender?
Yours,
IronMike
