I worked in a place with 2,000 people ....
Message:... and occasionally, they would take a picture.
Maybe half the place would filter out onto the tarmac and they would take a shot.
1,000 people is a lot. Even more so when you recognize many many of them. A football stadium with 50K is not as impressive because where you sit. It's like being in a mall.
They quickly become a chaotic mess without order.

The camera could focus on anyone in the crew of a "Starship" and tell a great tale .... why again aren't there any plumbers on the Enterprise?
