Coburn has a great set of movies in his canon. Plus he was a rather nice guy in real-life, a rarity. Less actor and more played his persona. He came to a small studio to do ADR (dialog replacement). As he left, he saw a junior admin guy admiring his car. Not a gear-head myself, so I don't recall model. It was a hotrod, two seat no roof. Coburn let the peon drive it around the block.
That kind of moment makes movie stars and fans. Stories that bring a smile. Don't get me started on the other side of the famous.
As for my pejorative -- there were three types in Hollywood. The stars, the union folks and peons. Left the industry cause it changed. Lost the union folks and now left with stars and peons.
