...I was commenting to Laura how much I enjoyed NOT seeing Washington, but only hearing about him from other characters, and how I hoped we wouldn't see him at all until season 2.Then, at the end of the episode...Washington showed up.
I might even guess, for Conrad, Washington's arrival was the moment it "got good." Still, the whole season could have stayed with "the spies" and kept Washington off-screen for awhile. It was different.
Love triangles are always boring, but are a quick trope to build tension. Although, Anna, Selah, Abraham, Mary and Captain Simcoe do make it more of a love pentagon...
At this stage of our viewing Anna, Abe, Mary and Simcoe still think Selah is dead.
