This news article was about people in poverty, but there could be some correlations with Kickstarter in general. Anyone have the stats, independently verified, on how much money is collected and by whom and more importantly from whom?
The news suggested affluent people from affluent areas tended to be funded more than the other no-go half. The starting network is important.
I see this process as sad. Yet I'm out of touch with the modern age. Yet if 43% of Crowdsource generate nothing...the fraud may be in the rare example superstars touted as the norm.
Granted, pleading for money to survive is not help me make a game.
