Solo Gamers Do Like the Oracle Thing ...
Basically asking the dice to function as the Referee with limited answers. My gut says that is a limited response. You cannot get a response that you didn't already know. This eliminates the "Aha, I would not have thought of that moment."
Most are too simplistic for my taste. But, I don't need to game a solo game so much ... I would just right the mission and my brain would go on the 97 variations of the mission.
This idea of the snippets seems incomplete. Unless something was already scanning the source material to grab random phrases, I would prefer the author write 200 interesting sentences of which I could pick a handful and get some interesting ideas.
Instead he recommends you take 6 groups of 5 or so and choose the best. Then convert what you get into something useful.
The phrases "Pavilion", "Guards", "Shouting", "King" would do the same thing.
In his package he gives them to you in excel and I think he built the automation.
I like his thinking ... and his video suggests he would be an amusing fellow gamer. I think this idea is incomplete though.
