It faded a bit at the end of the Season ...
Message:They went for the big Krytonians are bad story line. They blew up the Enterprise in the first three episodes.
I don't find that particularly interesting.
Morgan Edge, the Media Mogul who ruined the Daily Planet turns out to be a Krytonian who wants to take over Earth as the new Krypton. Ho Hum.
The Superman story line works only when Lane is not a naggy shrew. Otherwise, it makes no sense. I'm not sure they got there on this one. She isn't particularly interesting. (Clearly, she's compromised as a reporter.)
The sons improve the story line. The nerdy son turns out to be the one that has the powers over the expected athletic son. They handle it well.
Supers has super smell, super hearing, super eyebrows. But, he's none too bright. I guess he can't be smarter than the audience.
Everything is too dire ... no fun adventure or excitement. Bad people doing cartoony bad things. Seems like it would be fun to fly.
The wokeness creeps in. This show would have been trashed on the heap 20 years ago as cry baby nonsense. Today, it seems pretty tame. The writers can't let Supes be for Truth, Justice, and the American Way ... you know literally from the comics ... because ... reasons.
No answers here. It will run a few seasons and be forgotten. What were we talking about again?
Yours,
