End of a KickStarter Roller Coaster (Ten Fold Dungeon)
Message:I got mine by paying a little more for shipping. The product looks interesting.
It's a series of small boxes decorated to look like dungeon rooms that stack into the other rooms.
So, you pull the box apart and make a 3D dungeon. Crafty for sure.

This was the final notice from the creator. They fought the good fight and delivered in the end ... more or less. The kickstarter customers are quick to go ballistic.
Good day everybody,
It has been almost half a year since I started my conversations with Gale Force 9 regarding Tenfold Dungeon KS and the challenges I had been facing since the pandemic and the impact it had in logistics, staffing, prices etc. which took the project into BREXIT, adding more struggle to the completion of the campaign.
During these months, I have been working very closely with John-Paul Brisigotti (CEO of the Battlefront Group, including Gale Force 9) who, like many of us, saw the potential and the goodness of fighting for this project to the end; not only to deliver to you what was owed but also to see the product into the future with an ongoing plan and support.
The commitment of Gale Force 9, from its CEO to the members of staff that have worked to deliver the product has been incredible and I have been honored that such company took the time and the care to move the product, stuck in the different parts of the world (US and China) to make it reach you all.
The effort has not only been human, but it has also required an enormous capital that ultimately has taken Room 17 Games and Tenfold Dungeon to a different place from where we were two years ago.
This adventure has helped me to realise that at some point one needs to know their place, face the reality and understand that "enough" is as far one can go.
When I opened this business, I joined and gathered the best professionals I could, and although I always tried to make the appropriate decisions, many turned to be wrong, some turn to be too late. However, some also brought us great joy and good games. All of them, turned to be the adventure of my life.
At this point, and with my hand on my heart, I have to face the reality and accept defeat and with this last update, I want to announce to you that after delivering all the TFD sets I produced, I have reached the point of unsustainability and I have decided to end the journey of Room 17 Games as a publishing company.
CAMPAIGN CLOSURE
As of today, and except for the few customer service issues that I’m attending to and will continue looking after, TFD campaign is formally closed. The company has no more resources to continue the development of the brand or to manufacture any more products. With this, Room 17 Games will no longer publish our own products.
I wanted to make clear that, although Gale Force 9 has helped as much as they could, this KS campaign is completely unrelated to them and that any complains or doubts, must continue be addressed to me directly through our contact@room17games.com.
Many of you have asked me about my health and have encouraged me during these two years of difficulties, I want to say that my health is in a much better place thanks to your support and the fact that most of you could benefit from the effort and stubbornness put into it all. This closure helps enormously to be able to see a future ahead, and I hope that, disappointed as some of you may be, you understand that this is the only way one can move forward.
TFD FUTURE
Now for the good news. I want to announce that Gale Force 9 has become the OWNER of the TFD brand, its designs, and the continuity of its development, no doubt improving in every aspect possible, and specially logistics and product delivery. I’m happy to think that the property is in the best hands possible for many years to come.
Now a few words from John-Paul Brisigotti, CEO of Gale Force 9.
“We are very excited to be the shepherd of the Tenfold brand going forward. Although you don’t need convincing as you all saw the potential in this project when you backed it there are many people who have yet to see just what a great idea Tenfold is and what quality Ricard and his team produced. We share his vision for what the product could be and despite all the difficulties I know that the end result was something very exciting that it is now our job to share it with the wider market.
We will be re-launching the first wave in August this year with new packaging and 5e modules in each of the four fantasy sets. We will be following up this first wave with some expansions for that wave that will expand the uses.
We also have two more waves planned in the first year where we will take the idea further and create new settings using the same principle as the current range.”
For ongoing information of what we have planned check out the www.gf9.com site and attached you will find the first wave of visuals for what is coming in August.
FINAL NOTE
On a final note I want to make clear that I am very conscious of the designs and “stretch goals”
that have been left behind and that although most backers have received their core sets, there are
still some customer service issues I am looking at on a one to one basis to try and resolve as soon
as possible (some stuck or undelivered/returned sets, some shortages, etc that I’m addressing one
by one).
The effort made and the difficulties we have overcome will not feel like a battle won for some of
you, feeling disappointed and even upset at the closure of this campaign with still missing
items. I do understand and I apologise for it. From my perspective, however, there is literally nothing else I could do or stretch any further and therefore this closure does feel like an obvious end to the journey.
I want to thank you all for the good times and the excitement of the creation during the campaign
and the thrill of the months after. But above all, I want to thank you for the support during the
darkest moments of my career, the words of encouragement and the understanding that most of
you have with this outcome.
Many thanks again and my warmest farewell.
Yours, IronConrad 26-Apr-2022
