Message:We’ll be playing this adventure-mystery for several weeks .
We got no further on the fraud in the Subsidized Housing district (09). We were briefly contacted by Alderman Ming asking for an update, but we lost him in cyberspace.
The waterfront murder had our full attention. The party continued after breaching the Security Cordon (schematic). Ichika is dead, but there is evidence he had time to move a large object from the waterfront. Surveillance has him stealing his girlfriend Miki’s pushcart and taking a large “treasure” to the Public Works District (08). He dropped the object in a discontinued Koi breeding pond.
We were able to track his last moves there using the lojak on Miki’s pushcart. Someone posted online a badly faked video of a 50’s monster in rubber suit tearing Ichika apart. There were not actual witness and no functioning camera feeds of the dismemberment. The waterfront District 03 has a Dragon created blindspot in security.
We need to find out how Ichika died, because now dismemberment seems suspect. The cuts on his limbs were made with a saw not inhuman teeth. How did Ichika die and where?
Miki needs her cart back to make a living wage hauling wholesale fish to market. Her cart is not lost but sits right where Ichika left it in the Public Works District (08). No one has told her yet.
One of the players asked if the narratives were clues or color background of the campaign? They were meant to be mere color, but…does make you think I can embed some hints inside the narratives.
A little girl’s B-Day party is attracting the full interest of the city and stalls cyber traffic. The WoeFundMe states she lost her mother and lives with her elder sister. Only one person of thirty (in her grammar school class) RSVP her party, causing outrage among the lower class. Her classmates did not even say they would come virtual by Skypo video chat.
We got involved in a Gang War Escalation. All survived but several Divine Instruments needed to be deployed. Donny Bishop eventually scored the critical hit on the command bot controlling the cops sent to break up the peaceful riots.
Met Chuk-Phat (reoccurring character ally) he says the pushcart vendor moved north a treasure chest he supposedly found. Heard he got dead over it. "All the rioting, I can’t hear myself." Chuk-Phat loaned the group a Divine Instrument, not meant to be repaid.
We survived exercise on Preliminary Steps and Code Deep Dive to collect a total of five clue-points. Evading several times to new Safehouses.
The party now has a scapegoat and several members have Doubt. We reset a couple wounds received using a second finding of Ceylon Tea.
We did not encounter the Russian, former KGB, Skelvaross who is using magic (Blasphemous) and teaching his hoodlums to do the same. He still hunts for us. The gang wars may be his doing.
There is at least two minor demons in the city. One has the name Kali and insults Taste. The other one has no name (yet) and Insults Sight. Johann Dough is vulnerable to that. Avatar Jones, having escaped being the scapegoat, is vulnerable to Smell.
The hacking collective Kaiserkeller did not appear in the session.
We continue next week.
Thanks, Roll20.
Yours,
IronRed
