Wild Card --- boy that was a terrible a movie .... and yet ....
Message:
I couldn't sleep after eating too late in the day .... (don't get old people) ... so fired up the Netflix.
I turned on a show called Wild Card.
So, it's a Jason Statham flick and boy is it terrible.
Statham plays Nick Wild -- get the pun who is a security consultant in Vegas. He knows everybody and he doesn't use a gun ... cuz .. he is a bad ass.
So, a bunch of fight scenes and he's brooding and stuff. He drives around Vegas and beats up some people.
He dreams of moving to Corsica or someplace.
He gambles some money and loses it and gets into more fights.
No memorable lines or scenes. A few familiar actors. (Stanley Tucci in a wig.)
Really ... bland and nothing.
But, somehow ... it was okay. No one preached at me much. Just dudes beating each other up.
The end was stupid ... yea, really stupid. It could have been a series as Nice Card ... uh ... Wild ... drove out of Vegas.
Where is Dan Tanna when you need him -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegas_(1978_TV_series)?
All it needed was a ferret, a panther, and a squawking falcon.
(I'm sure I played a GURPS version of that at some point.)
And, I laughed because it was so bad. I mean really bad.
Yours,
IronConrad
