Where else do you get these chunks of Wisdom.
100 Savage Swords enter a Wizard Tower of the mad wizard Squirzonius.
He is a fiendish fellow and as each enters the Tower they each given a unique number. (It could be Roman Numerals to really honk people up.)
They then have to enter the room of 99 Dooms where they will all die or they will all live.
In 100 boxes in the SROD ... there are 100 slips of parchment (hey, it's fantasy and vellum is too expensive). Each of the Heroes must enter the room solo in any order.
Each hero can only open 50 of the boxes but to win, they must ALL find their number.
So, Mr. 1 goes in and he checks 50 boxes. And, the boxes reset.
Then Mr. 2 goes in and he/she/you know the thing checks 50 boxes. And, the boxes reset.
They can't communicate what they know. (But, knowing our heroes, we should let them since they will bollix that up anyway.)
They ALL live if they ALL find their numbers. They will ALL DIE if ANY Savage Sword fails to find their number.
The only thing they can do is have a strategy going in. What should that strategy be?
Well ... first of all they are hosed. But, there is a chance.
The first 5 minutes reveals the solution. The rest rambles until the end.
The short answer to why this improves your odds is inadvertently shared in the final few lines. By using this strategy, you either ALL fail or you ALL succeed.
