Our vessel arrived in Kappa Bumbleshoot, the former movie backlot, and began to annihilate the planet defenses. Why can’t old Hollywood folks pay their tribute on-time?
The planet was the site for numerous movies and TV programs as far back as Era Two. Most famously, Gunther Galileo, a hard drinking freelancer that’ll take any job for a bucket of credits. The story ended in a cliffhanger when SHE walked into the office in her tight fitting vaccsuit and impeccable make-up. "Gunther, I need your help. There is going to be a murder. Sure babe, just like in funny pages." Nothing has been filmed on the lot since Era Eight, the Galactic War halted all productions. The defenders appear to be anti-cartel squatters and salvage folks tearing the place apart for scrap; that last group never accepts that MACE is real. Why here? Why now, they fire on the troopers suspecting Perfidy. Low Immune Density; Low Resistance (-0 DefMod).
No Man’s Land had four SNAFU but we managed to take a bite out of the Strange Din and eliminate the pop-up Art Museum, which resulted in numerous battles.
The comm tests in Command were handled. The frequency blips in Engineering and the extra system Worm Hole went away (not in that order). To stall for time while Vulcan Seven and Rojo finished snipe hunts in No Man’s Land, the troopers also warded the techninja in repairs to the ship.
Someone decided to shoot some holes in the outer hull and someone else broke the breakroom coffee. We did add Jack Alpha to our allies and further gained Proxy with Alien Eliens. This while establishing a Code of Conduct for the Dauntless Perisher. Not too shabby.
Vulcan Seven earned a three-day pass to poker on L-5 Vegas. Gillardo also went on leave of another nature. The robots sold him into slavery. He managed to prove his usefulness to MACE and was returned, but the Skia now thinks Nial Fin hates her (cause the Minister of the Church of Galactic Vision surely does).
We completed prep with the Autoplayer and now are ready to Jump & Die next week.
Next week climax endgame.
