We resolved SNAFU on the ship in preparation for our assault on the Helium Dock. We are Dark Balls (on the monitors) away from Jump & Die.
Inganeer has gone a bit insane, Tense, Insanity. He was promoted to Chief Engineer, despite being unskilled. Terran good-boy network of bias, as always. He was wandering off the ship, investigating the lack of Intel we received, sounds like engineering, and encountered a swarm of drones. DOC Rojo says the swelling of his cranium should go down once the vicious heals. Actually, he shot himself with his own pistol. Not sure who has to file the report on that.
Sir Lain was appointed the ship biologist. MACE says the position is usually only filled on Armada class vessels. But since we just rose to squad 75, they’ll cut us some slack. Several new celebs (NPC) are sponsoring us: Hofer, hero of league, Konrad Kane of Parris System, among others.
We resolved a set of executive officers hanging out as holograms in our Command, an overreach of their authority that Sir Lain (Cimmer) resolved. The Slag all over the floor was swept clean by Gillardo and Liberty. The misaligned gunnery was easy enough to resolve by Kilo. As well as the dirty HUDs. But we did meet with resistance in the Ready Room when we told the snake-eaters not to deploy. Rojo did some clean-up in No Man’s Land ending the blight of Stowaways and a Fashion Mall. Someone, nameless, shot a grenade into the floor and used me as a human shield.
Just another day aboard.
The colony has long been a developed and prosperous society. The locals even prided themselves on their patriotism up to the end of Era Nine. Yet all contact seemed to end when the station called Quarantine, #666, the reference means nothing now as all codes were wiped and randomized for security concerns at the start of Era Ten. When the rent came due, the authorities called Battle Born to pacify the plagued planet. Which still supplies updates in a serial televised recreation of the lives and loves of the doctors trying to find a cure. The whole seems like an overreaction to Pacification. Where’s our vig? Low Immune Density; Medium Resistance (-1 DefMod).
Next Week back on autoplayer and then quell the system blasting us psychedelic music.
