Wanted this to be something it wasn't. Not a broad farce. Slow, boring start, a few laughs when Barbi gets to LA, an ending that was again laborious and slow. If you're going to have a long dance number, which I do enjoy as a kid raised on UHF old movies, mimic Hail Caesar's great scene not a dull music video line dance. Why not M. Jackson Beat It as a Ken vs Ken battle. Oh well, not this movie.

Could have been like Brady Bunch movies, fun. Also lots of kids (age 7 and below) in audience. Did any mother think this was a Lego or Toy Story? Seemed advertised as satire. Just w/o enough jokes nor sight gags. Saw people leaving before it was over. Simply boring.

Maybe Mattel wanted to control the product exposure too much. Either license or don't, trademark holder. Making good box-cash yet not the movie to make people return to the habit of cinema.
