Message:A new patent on satellites has them configure into a solar sail to beam microwave back to the surface of the moon. The whole process is robotic and moon based, including the materials. The energy created would rival a factory on earth. Go robots.
Why not use this on Earth?
Noob, atmosphere would heat-up and reduce the energy transfer.
Would it work on Mars?
Double noob, sun's intensity at Mars is about a dime flashlight. So need to be million times wider and Mars is mostly heavy rock; moon is mostly Aluminum. Launching stuff off moon is easy. Off Mars, less so.
Find info @10 mins or so.
