Message:We finished our questing (for now) in the Black Hills. He slew Ra, the Mummy, and left with six measures of treasure. These were invested and used to attract Retainers for the party.
Paul was united with his bones and later buried, earning us the gratitude of a Sea Captain.
The demon Ba’Te’Wet’Ab was trapped under the Black Hills. It could understand us, but we could not understand it. Could be mute. Could be it’s words melt flesh. It handed us a pan pipe on which we could make as many as five simple notes. Ba’Te’Wet’Ab gestured a claw, and the pipe ran a scale of notes. It then cocked an eyebrow as if to say “Your move.” Though Ba’Te’Wet’Ab might be suggesting you decide who gets devoured first. It does lick the lips of its all too numerous mouths. The players eventually figured out how to ask yes and no questions and let the demon respond in song. Later an alphabet code was devised for the demon to fully converse.
The heart of the Demon Ba’Te’Wet’Ab is in our possession. We agreed to take the diamond to the Hell Pit along the Rivers of Fire. In exchange the demon freed Odysseus from his curse of being a dragon.
Dagon, our supernatural force inside our minor charms, is pleased by our understanding of Aphorisms.
At the rivers of fire, we fought a Fire Drake and found a pitcher containing the glacial ice off the beard of Ymir, the Forst Giant. It appears to be a way to cool the lava and reach the Pit. There we can drop Ba’Te’Wet’Ab.
