Why didn't they color the four suits four colors?
Whole seems high for an airline mini-deck. As for all the other marks, it misses why those games are played with actual pieces, the tactile feel. Could play Mancala with scratch paper and pencil but why? That game was even made for pebbles and mud holes. No Chess player will use this. No domino player. The extra marks are then just distracting.
Real truth is that you once could buy a stack of bicycle decks, a dozen, for five bucks. I bought Tarot in mass for $0.66 per Spanish Deck. Spent more for shipping.
Not anymore, right? Take root and all dry goods can be purchased and sat on a shelf. Card decks are not can goods or worse for rot bananas. The shelf life is forever. I bought a multi-deck box, red and blue backs, forty years ago. I have yet to open half of them.
In forty more years, decks of cards will be $250 a pack. You might wish you had taken the advice of the Frugal Gamer (aren't we all) and made the bulk purchase long ago. Or if you haven't done so then, do it now. Put them on a shelf and leave them. As you bend or tear a card, lose one, time for the next deck of stack.
When last one is gone, death awaits.
