The music is a couple notes off from movie; weren't going to pay for rights, huh?!?
Was killed by Zingarian in first encounter w/ humans. World w/o trust.
Killed a turtle running on two legs and very large rabbit, unable to skin either. Strips of meat ended in my inventory but could not eat? Controls are not intuitive. You can spam combat click-click, but E to harvest doesn't skin or filet? Made a fire, unlit rock circle and stick meat skewer. Made a big deal about perfect placement in world map. Could not figure out how to light the thing. Not a single button interaction or menu?
These games where you need to collect sticks and rocks to get your first weapons, when dead corpses are there on the ground in rather nice armor? You can weave plant fibre into a pair of shoes, but not remove the dead sandals on a hanging corpse?
Will give it a few more hours but my expectations are low. Looks nice and plays for crap.
Age of Shoddy. The kids want realism, like making both a pick for stone and ax for trees. Not a pickax, though. That would need level fifty. Both tools from sandstone but soon blacksmith forged steel (at level 20). Yes, realism, for the kids. But they can't write code with a pull-down menu over harvest items.
I think I did meet Conan, as he cut me down from the cross. Odd start. Maybe he could tell a brother who can make a stone pick out of sticks and stone that will break a bolder, how he can cook a dead rabbit or kill a spear-armed Zingarian. I was just coming to their fire looking for friends. Bum rushed me?!? You'd think they'd want to sell a man in grass clothes back into slavery? I might be able to watch them forge nails to put me back on the cross.
