The next occultation of Mercury by Venus will be on December 3, 2133

Message:

Mercury seems a scary place. But the pole has water and shelter from the sun. Look at an image of mercury crossing the sun, as seen from earth, and it is horrifying. Sun is a broil; the planet loses surface dust, melted and flung off-world by Solar Winds. Yet it's high iron core has a magnetic field which protects the place (electronics will work there).

Another place we could live that is better than Mars. Best still is the moon.

To ask again, why did we pay huge money to visit the Trojan Asteroids of Jupiter, when we could have done the same science by visiting Earth's Trojans (that exist on our same orbit).

Yeah, yeah, yeah...you all are worried about other issues.
