Know your Audience ....
The marketeers kept telling them the only customer who would pay $4 for 12 pages of content was the middle aged boomer who liked the comics as a child.
No, the bosses declared ... these computer people will prefer pulp if only we could show them their own faces in the characters.
The audience didn't want that ... and they moved away. The new audience didn't materialize.
The first clue was that one involved ... reading ... whereas ... Youtube does not.
I'm not clear how books or even magazines can survive for long considering the technology. (I like holding paper in my hand ... but ... why would I bother with a magazine?)
Worst still, the content is lousy.
